tika: correct (loosely)

pono: genuine

tapu: sacred or restricted (similar to mana)

noa: free from tapu, ordinary or unrestricted

pütake: origins/source/underlying meaning

tikanga: values/principals (underlying customary practices) has a degree of fluidity to them as they are things to aspire to but not necessarily achieve all the time.

manakitanga: hospitality

whanaugatanga: kinship & family connection

utu: to repay (loosly)

take utu ea: some sort of conflict

aroha: love, compassion

rangatiratanga: chieftanship

kāwanatanga: govenorship
